Biographical Information
Robert F. Bunting was born in Hookstown, Pennsylvania in 1828. He graduated from Washington College (now Washington and Jefferson) in 1849, and earned his B.D. from Princeton Seminary in 1852. He served as a Presbyterian pastor until his death in September of 1891.

These journals were given to the Seminary sometime prior to June 14, 1951, when they were marked with the library's dated stamp. For many years these volumes were maintained as part of the Seminary's "Alumni Alcove" collection. They were organized as a manuscript collection in October of 1996. Two manuscript folders were added to the collection in October 2013.
