Biographical Information
The Reverend Doctor Robert Blackman Ives II (born 1936) has had a distinguished career in ministry and in education for over thirty years. He studied at Drexel University (B.A., 1959), Fuller Theological Seminary (B.D., 1962), Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.M. 1963), University of Manchester, England (Ph.D. 1965), and Harvard University Divinity School (post-doctoral work, 1966-68). Dr. Ives was ordained by the Presbytery of Donegal (UPCUSA), November 17, 1965, and thereafter has served several churches as pastor. He has also served as Chaplain and Lecturer in Religion at Messiah College in Pennsylvania.

This collection of papers was donated to the Seminary Libraries by Dr. Ives on December 14, 1993. The collection was organized and the original finding aid was written in June of 1996 by Raymond D. Cannata, under the direction of William O. Harris, Archivist. The finding aid was edited by Sarah Seraphin and Daved Anthony Schmidt in June of 2009.
