Found in 4 Collections and/or Records:
The Joseph Gaston Symmes Manuscript Collection
These sermons and lectures were discovered at a Flea Market in the Summer of 1997 by the Rev. James O'Conner, a PCA minister of New Hope, Pennsylvania. He gave them to the Seminary Library.
The William Harris Manuscript Collection
This collection consists of largely of sermon and Sunday school lesson manuscripts, plus one file box of correspondence, printed lecture notes with Harris' student marginalia, mementos, and other items. Of special note are hand sewn, leather bound marriage and baptism ceremonies and hand drawn and printed maps.
For the sermons and Sunday school lesson manuscripts, the date and location that the material was used is often written on the back of the first page.
The William Kerr McKinney Manuscript Collection
The collection was given to the Seminary Archives in 1952 by Dr. McKinney's widow. It contains sermon manuscripts written by Dr. McKinney, largely from the latter years of his pastorate. There are several hundred bound and unbound sermons. These papers remained unorganized in the Seminary library's "Alumni Alcove" collection. The collection also contains expository notes of Dr. McKinney.
