Biographical Information
George W. Janvier was born in 1784 and died in 1865. From 1811-1857, he was pastor of Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church in Pittsgrove, New Jersey. His family was deeply involved in missions. His son Levi Janvier (1816-1864) was a Presbyterian missionary to India. Another relative, C.A.R. (Rodney) Janvier, was also a missionary to India and was later president of Ewing Christian College in Allahabad.
