Scope and Content

The bulk of this collection consists of research notes and photocopies of material relating to the life and work of Steven Colwell. It includes copies of works by Colwell, copies of his correspondence, and copies of other materials which were collected by an unknown researcher. This collection also includes the correspondence of Bruce Morgan, who wrote an essay on Colwell in Sons of the Prophets: Leaders in Protestantism from Princeton Seminary, which was published in 1963.

The provenance of this collection is not known, though it was likely created by a researcher associated with the Seminary in the 1970s. The finding aid was edited by Daved Anthony Schmidt and Sarah Seraphin in April of 2009.
