Biographical Information
John Dorrance (1800-1861) graduated from the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University) and Princeton Seminary (class of 1826). He also received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the College of New Jersey in 1859. The Reverend Dorrance served as a Presbyterian pastor until his death.

These manuscripts were given to the Seminary by Mrs. R.M. Ehret. They were originally part of the library's "Alumni Alcove," but in October of 1996 were organized as a manuscript collection.
