This collection consists of a bound scrapbook which the Reverend Watt produced from 1914 to 1922, while a missionary in India. Included in this volume are notes, typescripts of letters, and photographs.

Biographical Information

James Watt was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and graduated from Franklin and Marshall College, Princeton University (M.A., 1914), and Princeton Seminary (Class of 1914). He served as a Presbyterian missionary to India for several years, before his early death.

It is not currently known when this scrapbook was given to the Seminary. For some years it had been preserved in library storage. In October of 1996 the collection was organized and the original finding aid was written by Raymond D. Cannata, under the direction of William O. Harris, Archivist. The finding aid was edited by Sarah Seraphin and Daved Anthony Schmidt in May of 2009.
