Biographical Information
Henry Boardman (1808-1880) graduated from Yale College in 1829 and briefly studied law before enrolling at Princeton Seminary in 1830. Soon after graduating in 1833, he was ordained by the Third Presbytery of Philadelphia. Dr. Boardman served the Tenth Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia as its pastor, from 1833 to 1876. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Marshall College in 1844, and was elected moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in 1854. From 1835 until 1880 Dr. Boardman served on the Board of Directors of Princeton Seminary.
