The Acta Martyrum et Sanctorum Manuscript Collection
Scope and Content
The provenance of these papers is unknown, though the name "F.A. Aston" is written at the top of page 355 in folder 3. Special Collections is home to the Frederick Alfred Aston Manuscript Collection, for which there are also no accession records. It is therefore unclear whether Aston transcribed this text. Other papers in the collection point to the possibility that these were working papers for a dissertation, but the authorship remains unknown. Acta Martyrum et Sanctorum Syriace is a seven volume work edited by Paul Bedjan.
