The Margaret Howland Manuscript Collection consists of approximately 2.17 linear inches of documents dating from 1954 to 1958 containing information about Howland’s time in the classroom as a student at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Biographical Information
Margaret Howland, born September 29, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attended Princeton Theological Seminary from the fall of 1955 through the spring of 1958 when she earned her Bachelor of Divinity degree. She was ordained by the Presbytery of Brooklyn-Nassau in October 1958. She went on to obtain her Master of Sacred Theology degree from Union Theological Seminary in 1966.
Howland held multiple church positions throughout New Jersey and New York from her time of ordination in 1958 through 1988.

Arrangement
The Margaret Howland Collection consists of two boxes divided into two series: Series I: Class notes and assignments by term and Series II: Spiral notebooks and Princeton Theological Seminary Catalogues. Series I contains folders pertaining to Howland’s individual courses while in attendance at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1955 to 1958. Folders are arranged by both subject and date providing information on Howland's time at PTS in chronological order.
Series II contains spiral notebooks from Howland’s time at Princeton Theological Seminary. The notebooks are arranged both chronologically and by subject. This series also contains Princeton Theological Seminary Catalogues from 1954 to 1958.
