Biographical Information
Henry Dyer Moore Sherrerd was an attorney, banker, United States Army Major, veteran of both World Wars, philanthropist, and a Trustee of the Presbyterian Ministers' Fund. He was a benefactor of Princeton Theological Seminary and served on the Board of Trustees, from 1944 to 1969. He was a grandson of Henry D. Moore, also a Trustee of Princeton Theological Seminary, and the father of Henry Dyer Moore Sherrerd, Jr.

This collection was donated to the Seminary Libraries by Henry Dyer Moore Sherrerd, Jr. in January of 1991. The collection was first organized in the spring of 1992. It was reorganized, and the original finding aid was written, in September of 1994 by Raymond D. Cannata, under the direction of William O. Harris, Archivist. The finding aid was edited by Sarah Seraphin and Daved Anthony Schmidt in May of 2009.
