General
This collection contains an autograph book maintained by "Dominus" (George?) Mansius (1706-1762), while a student in Holland, 1728 - 1730. This item was formerly catalogued as M3177. Filed with the book is a manuscript translation of it developed by William Kelly Prentice, Enno Littmann, and V.L. Collins. Dr. Prentice studied at Princeton University (BA, MA), Princeton Seminary (class of 1896), and the University of Halle, Germany (Ph.D.). He taught at Princeton University. This translation, then, was most likely done in the early-1900s. It was preserved in the library's "file D," for some time. The autograph and translation were organized together as a manuscript collection in October of 1996.
